Ricky Bell
Operations Manager
Ricky is hands on with every job ready to educate, provide quality service, and to spot an issue before its even a problem. Ricky is always seeking out ways to stay connected and learn about all the roofing industry has to offer you.
Ricky has been a metroplex firefighter for over a decade and grew up in North Texas. Current residents of Lake Kiowa (for over 15 years) with his wife and four kids. He also finds time to serve as a volunteer firefighter locally.
Shelby Bell
Administrative
Manager
Shelby keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. She also brings 5 years of real estate experience which helps Red Ladder Roofing better serve realtors and all of our customers in the midst of a real estate transaction.
Shelby, wife to Ricky, also grew up in North Texas (Muenster). Thanks to our many loyal customers she appreciates the opportunity to work along side her husband and all of this while still getting to homeschool their children.
Derick Brouhard
FIELD REPRESENTATIVE
Derick lives in Grand Prairie. He is a husband and father to 6 kids and also a firefighter. His people and scene managing skills are top notch and he has the roofing knowledge to back it up. He keeps our response times quick for the southern parts of DFW we service. Derick has been with us since the beginning, he and Ricky are also firemen together. Derick will make sure you are satisfied with your roofing repair or replacement!
Bryan Prince
Field Representative
Bryan lives in Lake Kiowa with his wife and enjoys utilizing the golf course and spending time with his grand daughter. Bryan was a fireman before transitioning into the roofing industry full time. He brings many years of roofing experience to the table and helps us keep our response time quick in Lake Kiowa and surrounding areas. You are in good hands with Bryan!
Elliot Thorpe
Field Representative
Elliot grew up in Argyle and lives in Denton now with his wife and two kids. His experience as a home inspector and firefighter prepared him well for roofing inspections and customer service. The communication skills, attention to detail, and experience with customers in real estate transactions he developed gave him the expertise to serve his customers well as he helps them through the process of dealing with a roof replacement or repair. He is prepared to respond quickly to our Denton area customers.
Billy McGehee
Field Representative
Billy was born and raised in Plano Texas, and currently resides in Dallas. He is married and has a two year old daughter. Billy has been with Dallas fire going on 5 year this November and just joined the US&R Specialty and he is going on two years of roofing experience. As a former college athlete, he’s no stranger to hard work and he’s an incredible addition to our team.
Kobe Keller
Field Representative
Kobe lives in Denton. He is a husband and father of a son they are expecting another baby boy in July! He enjoys all aspects of construction. He grew up around it and always had some kind of “project” going on as a kid. Kobe is currently a fireman in the DFW area. He always knew he wanted to be a fireman growing up but I also wanted to be involved in construction. Joining Red Ladder Roofing has allowed him to do both things he’s passionate about it while still having plenty of time to spend with his family!
Brent Rauch
Field Representative
Brent was born in Ft Worth, grew up in Alvarado, and now lives in Hurst. He attended Texas A & M University. Brent has been with Dallas Fire for just about 5 years and has been in USAR for 2 1/2 years. When he’s not serving as a firemen or roofing, You’ll find Brent spending time with his wife and 2 kids. He also enjoys participating in triathlons and ultramarathons.

Ricky‘s schedule as a fireman allows him the time to own his own business and Shelby‘s background in real estate and customer service showed her how uncommon it was to find a contractor with good processes to make the process simple. They live in Cooke County with their 2 (almost 3) kids and enjoy serving their neighbors around North Texas with the best service possible.

Ricky is a metroplex fireman along with most of our team. We enjoy allowing our company to do for other first responder families what it has done for ours. This flexible off duty job provides extra income and naturally fits the skillset and schedule of a fireman. We appreciate you supporting our business!

How long have you been in business?
Ricky and Shelby started Red Ladder Roofing in early 2016 after simultaneously seeing an opportunity in construction and a need for contractors with good business skills and communication abilities.
Are you local?
For those of you in North Texas, we are a local roofing company. Our office is located in South Denton but we service all of North Texas.
What are your qualifications?
We are BBB A+ accredited, GAF certified installers, CertainTeed Shingle Masters, and members of both the RCAT and NTCRA.
Are you insured? Licensed?
Both the company and our subs are appropriately insured.
There is currently no license for roofers in the state of Texas, although we support the need for that and will be ready to join in if Texas develops one. Our business is a registered LLC however, as well as registered contractors with all applicable cities.

Do you offer warranties? Are they transferable?
On most jobs we are able to offer a 5 year labor warranty as laid out in our contract. Our products also carry warranties from the manufacturer; most product warranties are transferable.
Who will be there during the project?
A project manager is on every job to oversee the project, check supplies, answer your questions, and manage the crew. We don’t just send the crew, we’re there making sure everything is done correctly and you are informed.
How will you protect my property?
During all jobs we make an effort to tarp flower beds and sensitive areas, protect pools in close proximity, and cover AC units. Our priority is getting your house dried in, after that we make several sweeps to pick up trash and use a magnetic roller to collect nails.
How long will it take?
A typical residential reroof takes us 1-2 days.
